Are you wondering where to go tandem paragliding in the Dolomites? In this post I will share my experience with you about my first time paragliding in Trentino in the Dolomites.
At the end of 2018 I made a promise to myself: try something new that scares you, every single year! Needless to say that when I got the offer to go paragliding in the Dolomites, I immediately jumped at the opportunity!
To me there is something magical about the Dolomites. After visiting this area in Italy for the first time on a road trip in the Summer of 2019, I already knew I would go back some day. I didn’t think however it would be so soon. Hop, skip and a few months later I was back breathing in the fresh mountain air and hopping around like a true snow bunny.
If you think you’ll be bored in the Dolomites if you don’t ski or snowboard, you couldn’t be more wrong. One of the most fun and adventurous things to do is to go paragliding! Feel free as a bird while taking in all of the views from above. I can tell you, there is nothing like it!
Where to go tandem paragliding in the Dolomites?

Is tandem paragliding safe?
To be completely honest, the hours leading up to my big take off I got extremely nervous. So much so that during lunch I poured myself a few glasses of red wine to calm my nerves.
But all my nerves disappeared as soon as I met my pilot! He was very professional and told me exactly what would happen and what I had to do.
Turns out, there isn’t much you have to do if you fly tandem. You simply run down a mountain and keep on running until your feet no longer touch the ground. The harness transforms into a seat and you’re super comfortable throughout the entire flight.
As for landing? Turns out that’s even easier. You simply hold your feet up and your pilot will do all the rest!
Can you take photos while tandem paragliding?
Yes you can! You can keep your camera with you if it’s attached to a strap. Simply hold onto it when you’re running for take off. Once you’re in the air you’ll be comfy and you can take as many photos as your heart desires.
