When planning your itinerary for Turkey you simply have to make enough time to discover the region of Cappadocia!
Cause it’s true what they say… Cappadocia is as magical as it is known! Wether you’re planning a romantic holiday, a cultural visit or a hiking adventure, I am sure you’ll have the most amazing time in this region in Central Turkey!
During my stay in Cappadocia I had a wonderful experience and big part of that is due the hotel that I stayed at. I chose to stay at one of the typical cave hotels in the city centre of Göreme.

Where to stay in Cappadocia – Mithra Cave Hotel
One of the most important factors is deciding which city you will stay in. The answer for this one is loud and clear: Göreme! From here you will get the best view in entire Cappadocia of the balloons rising into the sky during sunrise.
How to get there?
The easiest way is to fly in through Nevsehir and arrange a hotel pick-up from before. This is only 25 Turkish Lira for 1 person and you will be transported in a little air-conditioned bus to your hotel. Göreme is around 45 minutes away and on your way over you can start taking in the magical scenery around you.
What to expect?
One of the main reasons why I chose Mithra Cave Hotel is their fabulous location. They have one of the highest terraces and therefore offer the best view in town! The rooms are absolutely breathtaking and transport you into a real life fairytale. I opted for one of their Honeymoon suites which includes a giant jacuzzi and a sauna. Both of them are perfect for warming up after watching the sunrise.

Every morning a breakfast buffet on top of the roof terrace is served which holds all of the Turkish delicacies. The Front Office Manager Emre also makes sure your entire stay at the hotel goes perfect and he is the proud owner of the cutest dog in entire Göreme. Her name is Findik and she is the proud mom of Zeus and Köpük and the real star of the hotel. These little rascals sure make your stay is memorable and make you wish you could stay longer!

Lunch and dinner are optional in the hotel and they will provide a different fixed menu every day. The centre of Göreme is only a 5 minute walk away and holds a ton of different restaurants for you to enjoy.
How to book a tour?
If you’re not sure if you should book a tour from before, not to worry, we just booked all of ours the evening we arrived and the service we got was simply amazing. This can range from joining a guided tour through Cappadocia to a Hot Air Balloon ride or a Sunset Horse Ride.
All in all I had a wonderful experience at Mithra Cave Hotel and would definitely recommend it when visiting Cappadocia. This is in no case a sponsored post and all my opinions are my own. Stay tuned for more magical moments from Cappadocia!
