With amenities like child-friendly menus, and spacious, comfortable accommodations, you can enjoy a stress-free holiday knowing that everything your baby needs is at hand. Plus, the serene surroundings and beautiful views are just as enjoyable for parents in need of some relaxation.
In this blog post, we’ll dive into all the reasons why The Ritz Carlton Abama is a fantastic option for families traveling with babies, ensuring a memorable and hassle-free stay for everyone.
For our holiday in Tenerife I was looking for an unforgettable experience. It was the very first time we traveled abroad with César, I was turning 35 and I wanted a few days to fully relax after an adventurous holiday.
I decided to splurge and spend some of my hard earned blogging money on a fabulous stay at The Ritz-Carlton Abama. It ended up being the perfect end of our holiday, especially since our previous accommodations had been very disappointing.
What’s included in the room price
We opted to stay at the Villa Club Deluxe with a garden view. These villa’s are separated from the main hotel building, called the citadel, and offer a more tranquil experience.
They also come with their own semi-private pool where you can get complimentary drinks and snacks during the day. Including beer, cava, wine and their cocktail of the day. I mean, is there anything better than sipping some cava while laying by the pool with your baby sound asleep on top of you?
Another plus is that we had access to the lavish breakfast buffet at El Mirador, which was only 5 minutes walking from our villa and only available to guests staying at the villa’s.
Discover a selection of sweet and savory snacks at El Mirador Villa Lounge. Additionally, you can enjoy cold tapas available from 12.30 p.m. to 3 p.m. hot tapas available from 12.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. and sweet tapas from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Location of the The Ritz-Carlton Abama in Tenerife
Nestled in the tranquil area of Guía de Isora on the west coast of Tenerife, The Ritz Carlton Abama boasts a location that’s both serene and strategically perfect for exploring the island.
This luxurious resort is ideally situated away from the bustling tourist hotspots, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful retreat while still being conveniently close to some of Tenerife’s top sights.
Just a short drive south, you’ll find the stunning beaches of Costa Adeje, perfect for a day of sun and sea.
Head north, and you’ll be greeted by the charming towns and diverse landscapes of the Teide National Park, a must-visit for anyone coming to Tenerife. Also the Teno Mountains are only a short drive away.
What’s fantastic about the location of The Ritz Carlton Abama is its distance from the main highways, which means you can easily venture out to these attractions without getting caught in the typical traffic jams that can occur closer to the busier areas like Playa de las Américas or Los Cristianos. And if your baby is anything like ours he hates traffic jams.
César loves nothing more than a good road trip, unless there’s a traffic jam involved. Then he will start screaming bloody murder :D.
At the end of the day, you get to return to the tranquility of your luxury retreat, away from the hustle and bustle – truly the best of both worlds.
There’s an adults only section at the The Ritz-Carlton Abama in Tenerife
You might be wondering why I would mention an adult’s only section when writing about the most baby friendly luxury resort in Tenerife.
Well, this means that adults that don’t want to be surrounded by children and babies get the spend the day relaxing at their own semi private pool.
So no glancing stares when your baby is being fussy. At our pool we were joined by other families with babies and young toddlers. So if someone is crying or having a little tantrum there were no judging stares. Which also means that I could fully relax.
I’m still new to being a mom and I always get stressed in public places if my baby would start crying but the general atmosphere here was so tranquil and inviting to children that I didn’t feel an ounce of stress during our entire stay.
Staying at The Ritz-Carlton Abama with a baby
For our first holiday abroad with our baby we opted to bring as many of his items from home as possible. But The Ritz-Carlton Abama provided us with a travel cot for our baby free of charge.
Another perk of our Deluxe Villa is that our room is only a few meters away from the pool. For now we don’t let our baby sleep alone since he was only 3 months old at the time. But later on it would be absolutely perfect for him to take a nap in our room while we could relax by the pool only 3 meters away and have his baby monitor with us.
Another big plus was their in room dining service. While The Ritz-Carlton Abama has some incredible restaurants on site we’re still in the trenches of our baby being a little more fussy in the evening.
So our evenings were simply spent within the comfort of our room and terrace and our food was delivered to our door. It’s pretty fancy when even the pizza boxes are on brand!
